Environmental Conditions: Choose the right device

Environmental conditions for Panel PCs, like any other electronic equipment, depend on the specific model and intended usage. Our Panel PCs are designed for industrial and commercial applications and often need to operate in challenging environments. When selecting one of our panel pcs you should consider the below environmental conditions:

• Temperature: Our Panel PCs operate within a specified temperature range. This range can vary significantly depending on the model but is between -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) for industrial-grade devices. Some specialized Panel PCs can operate in even more extreme temperatures.

• Humidity: High or low humidity levels can affect the performance and lifespan of a Panel PC. Our Industrial-grade models have humidity tolerances ranging from 5% to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing.

• Vibration and Shock: In manufacturing or transportation settings, equipment can be subjected to constant vibrations and shocks. Ensure that the Panel PC you choose can withstand these conditions if they are present in your environment, 0.5g rms/5-500HZ.

• Chemical Exposure: In some industries, there may be exposure to chemicals, solvents, or corrosive substances. Panel PCs intended for such environments should be built with materials that resist chemical damage.

• Sunlight and UV Exposure: For outdoor applications or locations with direct sunlight exposure, consider a Panel PC with a high-brightness display and UV-resistant materials to prevent screen fading or damage.

• Water and Liquids: If your Panel PC is exposed to water or liquids, look for models with a high IP rating for water resistance. In some cases, you may need a waterproof enclosure for added protection.

• Altitude: If your application is at high altitudes, you should choose a Panel PC that is designed to operate under reduced atmospheric pressure conditions.

• Electromagnetic Interference (EMI): Some industrial environments can generate significant electromagnetic interference. Consult us to find you a device that is properly shielded to prevent performance issues.

• Enclosure: Depending on the environmental conditions, you may need to house the Panel PC in a specialized enclosure or cabinet to protect it further. These enclosures can provide additional protection against dust, moisture, and physical damage.

Always consult our specifications and documentation to understand the precise environmental conditions that a particular Panel PC can handle.

Selecting the right Panel PC for your specific environment is crucial to ensure its long-term reliability and performance.
